I want you to imagine a hot summer evening in a park. Clouds looming over you as you're getting ready to start the session for your senior pictures. Not even halfway through, you see storm clouds approaching. Everyone around you starts frantically checking the radar..."It's coming this way," says your boyfriend as everyone stares at the sky. Right in the middle of taking pictures, the sky opens and you feel the first raindrops...then more...then more...the next thing you know it's pouring as everyone takes shelter under a tree. The next thing you know, lightning strikes at what feels like is 1 inch from you...commence running to the car to avoid imminent death. And then....just as you're as soaked as you'd be if you'd just gotten out of a swimming pool fully clothed...the rain stops. It lasted just long enough to ruin your clothes and halt the session.
That was what Allison's first attempt at senior pictures was like...and it was actually hilarious and now a memory we can all keep forever!! But after that...it kept raining. Every single weekend that we wanted to do them, it rained. Finally we found a weekend that we could do them and the wait was worth it. I think you can see that's true in the pictures below. And then I'm pretty sure it rained the weekend after our session too. We timed it perfectly.
I have been photographing Allison (and family) since I think she was about 12. It has been a privilege and honor to watch her grow up to be such a beautiful young lady! Congratulations, Allison!! I can't wait to see all the things you accomplish!
